Any good evolving RPG games?

If anyone knew the game Medabe online then that is essentially the kind of game i'm lookin for. Another one is WoW I LOVE that game, but at times that i'm saving money i don't play it, but i still need my fix. Does anyone know of a game that you can have points that allow you to specialize in certain types of areas of combat, or if you want to increase overall health (skill point and such). While also being able to upgrade your overall weapons and armor. I"m looking for essentially WoW, only i don't care about the graphics or any thing, just so long as the mental part is there.
