Do those who judge the validity of Scientology by the "Xenu Empire" vision have any valid point?

Problem is, Hubbard also claimed that Xenu was doing stuff BEFORE the Big Bang. Also, the part about them dying trying is a myth to stop people from looking up the stories before they were "ready" (aka: hadn't payed thousands of dollars yet) Scientology also has a history of harassing critics and even denying the existence of Xenu to the media. Their civil rights abuses are innumerable, and their organization is a dangerous scam.
