If my friend recovers his gamertag on my console will he get the flaming helmet I downloaded?

Okay so my friend recovered his gamertag on my console and we are playing halo reach. Well I bought the legendary edition of halo reach and I have the flaming helmet and special elite armor. when my friend played halo reach with me, he got the flaming helmet and elite armor in his armory and is able to wear it. So my question is when he recovers his gamertag back on his console at his house, will he still have all the special armor effect and armor that I had to pay for?
